A Quick Thought: Celebrating The Light

On this 26th Day of December 2022, we celebrate the Light:

It is Christmas Monday in the US: when Christmas falls on a Sunday, this day is set aside for Christians to reflect on the birth of the Light of the World.

The Winter Solstice occurred this year on December 21, 2022; now each day grows brighter as we emerge from Winter’s darkness.

Last night we just finished Hanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights.

Tonight is the First Night of Kwanzaa when we all can celebrate the joyful and rich African-American culture through this festival of Lights. President Barack Obama said,

"For families across the country, today marks the beginning of a joyous time to reflect on the rich African-American culture and to remember the principles of unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith—principles that reflect our most cherished values as Americans."

And the New Year —2023—is less than a week away!

May yours be filled with peace, love, and Light.

Blessings to all,

Rev. Chris
